An anniversary event

The event.
    On the fifth anniversary of the Only Connect Site (which was founded on 6 November 1995), I decided to start an event that remains open today. In order to commemorate the occasion, I would like to invite you and all other Forsterites to participate in a tribute to E. M. Forster. I will post noteworthy entries on the "Why I Appreciate Forster" page.

What to do.
    Just write up a message elaborating why you appreciate Forster. It's a pretty broad topic, but I've included some more specific examples below:

• Choose your favorite work by Forster (novel, story, essay, etc.) and tell us why it's your favorite.
• What is it about Forster that appeals to you?
• Describe how Forster or his work has changed or influenced your life.

Again, the above are only examples of ideas. Feel free to take on your own tangent, but remember that the main message should involve your appreciation of Forster and it should be at least 100 words in length. There is no maximum restriction (however, I may edit for length, or post an extract).

The fine print.
   One entry per person. Contest is open to all ages and citizens of all countries. Participant must provide a valid e-mail address. I will not sell, distribute or post your e-mail address publicly. This event will be open for submissions indefinitely.

If your submission is selected to be posted on the Only Connect Site, you will be notified by e-mail. Entries may be edited with regard to length, grammar and/or spelling and accuracy of facts. Any entries containing objectionable material will be edited or disqualified per the discretion of the webmaster.

By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these rules, and give permission to use your name, location (town, state/province and country) and written statements on this Web site and without additional compensation. You shall retain copyright of your statement. Entrants who do not comply with these rules will be disqualified.
