I love it when fellow Forsterites drop me a line. I've received various messages, and although most of them are desperate requests for help on a paper, I occasionally get some wonderfully kind words. In the past few years, I have rarely responded to anything, so I apologize for that. But I do wish to thank anyone and everyone who took the time to send me a note.

If you never received a reply (and you have waited anywhere from some months to many months) and would still like one, please feel free to bug me about it. Please note though that at this time, it may take me as short as a day or as long as three weeks to get back to you.

Before sending me anything, please read the "About this site & its maintainer" page if you haven't already done so.

To send me a message, complete all fields of the handy form below and press the button.

Your name:
E-mail address:

Subject:
General comments, suggestions (e.g. for Quotes of the Month), questions and/or hellos
Query regarding a project or paper you are working on (*see note)
Request to obtain permission to reproduce material from the site

How soon do you need a reply? (If it doesn't matter, just type "n/a")

Your message: (Go ahead and type away in the box below. I'd also appreciate it if you'd let me know how you found this site.)

Please press the button only once and wait for a response. Thanks for writing!

*Note: Sorry, but I will not respond to your message if you're writing a paper or doing some other project, and ask about themes or literary devices, etc., or otherwise sound like you should have done the work but didn't (i.e. I won't do your homework or analysis for you!). So please don't ask me such things as, "What does Forster mean by ...?" or "Could you explain the dynamics between this character and this character?" or "What are the differences between this work and its film version and what do they signify?" or even "Could you give me a summary of this work?" If you write asking me in any way: "I'm doing a paper and don't have enough info on Forster (or something he wrote). Tell me where to find it!" then it's a sure bet that I won't respond.

All my suggestions are on the Works about Forster page. If you really are lost on a paper or project, your teacher or professor, or even librarian can be your best pal. Search the MLA or other humanities databases! One of these days I might put up some very general paper-writing tips on this site.

I am more inclined to respond to more objective questions, e.g. queries regarding quote attributions or sources, or perhaps something to do with the film adaptations (such as queries about an actor or director, or other films I can recommend, etc.). Again, I'm not an 'expert' and really can't guarantee that I can help; but you can try asking.
